Atlantis Aviation Professional Conversion Pilot Program is designed for pilots who already hold an ICAO license who want to continue their career in Aviation and obtain their FAA Certificates.

This course includes converting the Private Foreign licence, Instrument, Commercial and Flight Instructor Certificates.
Pilots also have the option to complete a degree in aviation to further your education and meet the airline standards.

Private Pilot License

A private pilot certificate is a license that permits the holder to act as the pilot-in-command of an aircraft privately (not for pay). You will then move on to completing the hour requirements for Instrument and Commercial certificates.


Private Pilot Training 1 Week To Complete*

Summary Requirements

  • Hold a foreign Private or Commercial License. The foreign pilot license must have been issued by a foreign Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) that is a member state of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the foreign pilot license must be valid.
  • Hold a current foreign medical or obtain an FAA medical upon arrival to the States
  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Verifying the Authenticity of a Foreign License or Rating. Must apply for verification of that pilot license at least 90 days before arriving to begin flight training – Atlantis Aviation will complete this application for the student
  • Applicant will be issued a Restricted FAA Private Certificate based on the foreign license (Certificate will become unrestricted upon completion of the Commercial exam)
  • Applicant Completes a Flight Review with an FAA CFI

Instrument Rating

If you already have an Instrument Rating on your foreign license you must still complete some hour requirements in the U.S. under supervision of an FAA Certified Flight Instructor.
A written test is required and upon completion of an oral / practical test with an FAA Aviation Examiner you will receive your Instrument Rating.

Commercial Pilot License

A commercial pilot license allows you to act as a pilot of an aircraft carrying persons and/or property for compensation or hire.

Certified Flight Instructor

In this Program you will become proficient in the Learning and Teaching Process to qualify as an FAA Certified Flight Instructor SEL (Single Engine Land) in approximately 60 days.
Note: Spin training is required for the completion of the Initial CFI, please see Additional Training
Note: CFII (Certified Flight Instructor-Instrument) training is highly recommended to qualify for job opportunities teaching instrument students.

Associate Degree in Pilot Technology

Obtaining a degree in aviation will put you at the top of the line in the eyes of your potential employer.
Available courses are Associate, Bachelor and Master degrees depending on your current education level.
By taking these courses you may be eligible for Optional Practical Training Opportunity to build flight time and reach the qualification experience required by the airlines, while earning appropriate competitive compensation.

  • Hold a High School Diploma
  • If English is not a native language, students must take an English proficiency test, such as TOEFL, IELTS or provide a US High School Diploma.
